Welcome to Camp ClimateFrom Dec. 2 to 13, 2019, world leaders will meet in Santiago, Chile to advance the International Climate Negotiations following the Paris agreement reached in 2015 during COP 21.
The conference is expected to attract thousands of participants including official delegates from governments, intergovernmental organisations, UN agencies, NGOs and civil society. Young People are one of the main stakeholders of decisions taken at those conferences but often are not able to fully integrate and influence them. In order to guarantee their presence and Influence, the World YMCA hosts “Camp Climate” - A safe space dedicated to young people for coordinated advocacy action, capacity building and networking during International Environmental Negotiations (COPs) Participating Organisations in recent yearsDan Church Aid Youth/ACT Alliance
